As Carlos and Bill discuss ways to save the Earth, they fail to realize it's too late.

Lee, Gwen, and Mike. Having an enjoyable time at the Club Christmas party.

Come to the June 24th meeting.

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day

May

We had a small turn out for the May meeting. Just 4 members and 3 guests (which became members). Later in the evening a 5th member came. We judged the small group of prints and had a nice time viewing a couple of portfolios brought by the guests and discussing photography and answering questions.

Our next meeting will be at Nolan's on Airline at Cimmaron on June 24th. It will be a closed exhibit of Wildflowers. They must have been taken within the last calendar year. The meeting starts at 6:30. Come early and enjoy dinner with the group.  Also there will be a box to add supplies requested by the Jackson Photographic Society to help their fellow member serving in Iraq. Needed items include personal hygiene items like deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair brushes, combs, etc. Hope to see you there.

Board Meeting

The Camera Club held it's  board meeting Thursday, March 13 and May 8.

Present were Carlos Valdez, Del Casarez, Lynette Browning, Bill Browning,
Ruben Barrera, and Michael Huck.

The 2008 budget was presented by Lynette.  The budget passed. We only made $18.50 on the Botanical Gardens sale. We will decide whether to do it again next year.

This year we will have several Closed Competitions.  They will be in lieu of
the regular monthly competition.  The subject matter will be:
March- Birds
June- Wildflowers
September- Coastal Bend
All photos must have been taken within the 12 months prior to the
competition, and must have been taken within the Texas state borders.

A snack sign-up sheet will be available during the meetings for the
2008 year.

Reminder of summer meetings at Nolan's. Arranged with Nolan's.

Carlos Valdez closed the meeting.
